Our founder

Our founder, late Nemai Chandra Ghosh came from an extremely humble background from a small village town Amta, West Bengal. He came to Kolkata as a small boy looking for a job to feed himself. He started by working in small sweets shops and learnt the art of sweet making before taking the plunge of starting his own sweet shop in Lake Town, Kolkata in 1967. Soon the brand Annapurna sweets flourished known for its quality sweet making especially in the Bidhanagar region and the brand expanded to multiple outlets in the region.

He believed in quality, integrity and constant hard work which stands as principles of the brand Annapurna Sweets Pvt. Ltd.
